When you message Magnet E-Store on Facebook Messenger or Instagram, or comment on one of our Instagram posts, we receive and store:
- the ID Facebook or Instagram assigns you for conversations with our Page
- your username, where Facebook or Instagram provides it
- the messages and comments you send us, and our replies
We use this only to answer your questions about our products, prices, stock, delivery and orders, and to connect you with our customer service team.
Automated replies
Some replies are written automatically by our AI assistant and are marked “(Magnet AI)”. To write a reply, it reads your message, recent messages in the same conversation, and our product catalogue. Anything involving an order, payment or complaint is passed to our customer service team on WhatsApp.
Who processes this data
Your messages are stored on secure cloud infrastructure provided by Supabase. To generate automated replies, the text of your message is sent to AI Infrastructure, which processes all requests. We do not sell your messages and we do not use them for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your messages for as long as we need them to help you with your orders and enquiries, or until you ask us to delete them.
